(b) System usage fees
The usage fees of the system are imposed in accordance with the relevant legislation, based on water consumption. The usage fee amounts to 0.50 cents per cubic meter of water and is imposed on every facility that is connected or should, according to the relevant notification issued by the Pafos Sewerage Board, be connected to the system. This fee is invoiced and collected either through the competent Water Supply Authority or through the Pafos Sewerage Board.
The sewerage fees are imposed based on their estimated value according to the Law on Sewerage Systems no. 1/1971 and the relevant Regulations (KDP 108/99) as amended to date.
According to the Legislation, the sewerage fees up until 2016 were imposed based on their estimated value at prices 1/1/1980. From 2017 to 2019, they were imposed based on the estimated value of the properties at prices 1/1/2013 and from 2020 onwards at prices 1/1/2018 as determined by the District Land Registry Office.
The usage fees of the system are imposed based on the above legislation.

Questions – Answers regarding the Technical Services
You must apply for a construction permit to the Pafos Sewerage Board. The application can only be submitted electronically and must be accompanied by the necessary documents and plans.
When the application verification process is completed and the construction permit is issued, which is sent electronically, the applicant builds the private sewer at his own expense based on the approved plans and the terms of the permit. The works are supervised by the applicant’s engineer and upon their completion he submits the project completion form to Pafos Sewerage Board. The consent for connection to the central sewerage system is then issued and sent electronically.
Before any construction work, the applicant requests in writing from Pafos Sewerage Board to be indicated of the existing sewage system and the possible connection point. For any additional connection points required, the costs will have to be paid by the owners.
There is the possibility of joint connection, through a connection point in the same spot, provided that the application will be signed by all co-owners. In case of connection of an estate through an adjacent plot, the written consent of the owner of the adjacent plot is required.
